Get to know the Sankaikuni coaching team!
JANICE KNIGHT
Janice holds a 5th Dan black belt in Judo and is a 1st Dan black belt in Taiho Jutsu.
Janice is a former Commonwealth champion and former British international.
She has a Cert. Ed. in teaching and is a qualified British Judo Association level three coach and practical examiner.
Originally a member of Portsmouth Judo Club, her competiton coach was Dennis Penfold (8th Dan IJF Kata Examiner and former British International and European Silver medalist).
PIM VAN DEN ELZEN
Pim holds a 2nd Dan black belt in Judo.
He is a qualified British Judo Association level 2 coach as well as a registered British Judo Council coach.
KELVIN KNIGHT
Kelvin holds a 2nd Dan black belt in Judo.
Kelvin has grown up around Judo and gained his black belt during his time at Keele University.
He is a qualified British Judo Association level 1 coach.
ELLIE DALTON
Ellie holds a 1st Kyu brown belt in Judo.
Ellie started Judo in primary school. This was through the JudoKnight school to dojo programme. 13 years later, Ellie is still training and loving judo with the same coach: Janice.
She has completed her Level 1 coaching course, currently gaining more and more coaching experience.
ANITA BONE
Anita is our club welfare officer.
Her two children: Bethany and Jamie are active members of Sankaikuni Judo.
